Tickets for the Cape Town leg of Billy Talent’s 2013 South African tour are
selling like hot cakes, and we’re just announcing the incredible line up of
Cape Town bands that will be sharing the stage with the Canadian rock

Goodnight Wembley! have made a big name for themselves in a short
period of time. The band comprises of members from other well-known bands
including Taxi Violence, 7th Son, Dead Lucky and Yes Sir! Mister Machine. The
band formed in mid-2012 and exploded onto the scene with invitations to perform
at top festivals in SA in 2012, making the Top10 of the Converse Get out of the
Garage Competition, as well as being nominated for an MK Award for Best

Their first single, Time Machine, was made available as a free
download. It soon entered 5FM’s Top 40 and shot to Number 1 on Kovsie FM. The
music video for this single is a no-nonsense performance video, show casing
Goodnight Wembley!’s live appeal. This video reached the Number 1 spot on MK’s
Top 10 chart in September and again in October 2012.

Joining Goodnight Wembley! and Billy Talent will be Dead Lucky.
The 5piece Capetonian band formed in 2011 and after a small false start,
relaunched as the current rock band that is gracing stages in South Africa.
Bluesy guitar riffs with deep husky vocals, means that this band turns any show
into a party.

Dead Lucky was started
3 years ago, in the small town of Stellenbosch, by Kyle Lakey and Jean
'Middelvinger' Labuschagne. In its first form, Dead Lucky was a fast-paced punk
rock band focused on replenishing somewhat of a diminishing scene in Cape Town
and its surrounding areas. After almost a year and a collection of well-received shows the band decided to
part ways.

Then, in January 2011. Kyle and Jean decided to reform Dead
Lucky, but with a new approach; to resonate the sound and attitude of rock 'n
roll, in it's most pure form.

The horn was sounded and recruitment begun, but
this time, in Cape Town.

Kyle then got hold of guitarists Alex Krause and
Chris Bornman and bassist Graham Strickland to complete the 5 piece.

Prepare yourselves, because this is going to be a show like no other!
