Liese Bubble Hair Color & Liese Juicy Shower

Posted by Unknown Monday, September 27, 2010 0 comments
I've never coloured my hair before except for straightening, so basically it's my 1st time trying out a new hair colour :P

Decided to purchase Liese Bubble Hair Color since it's a relatively new product imported to M'sia which has been getting positive reviews and to save money & time to DIY. Also, I couldn't resist the pretty & cute packaging! ;D

I was deciding between Marshmallow Brown, Cassis Berry and Sweet Pink. After doing some research and some sample viewing at the display counter, I finally went for Sweet Pink! :D Too bad the Sweet Apricot is not available here, I would've bought that if I had the choice!

After doing the allergy test for about 24 hrs (yeah, the instruction says 48 hrs but I was too excited and busy to wait for 2 days. lol), DIY hair colouring process starts! I love how the packaging is equipped with the bottles and a pair of gloves. The instructions is simple and easy to follow.

My hair is shoulder length so I used the whole bottle of it. Waited from abt 30 mins and in between I lather up the bubbles at each 8-10 mins so that the colours would come out even. After the waiting duration, washed my hair with warm water (shampooed and conditioned) , dried my hair and applied the Nourishing lotion.

Before & After (under sunlight)
Although my hair was quite dry after colouring, but after conditioning and putting on hair serum religiously for 2 days, it became better :D
The other product that I bought from Liese was the Liese Juicy Shower Mixed Berry Moisturizing Hair Mist.
I love berries and the smell of the hair mist isn't too strong. I like to use it when my hair is damp. Just spray some onto the damp hair and then blow dry it with the hair dryer. My hair became really soft and fluffy after that!

Whisk Espresso Bar & Bake Shop @ Empire Shopping Gallery

Posted by Unknown Thursday, September 23, 2010 0 comments
Having been to Empire Shopping Gallery countless times, Whisk Espresso Bar & Bake Shop is a quaint little cafe that never fails to grab my attention whenever I'm there. It's always sending me this 'come to me!' vibe xD

My parents have been raving about this place since they been there when it opened for business not long ago but they did not bring me along. Sigh.

I bought some macarons at Whisk once for take away and they tasted really good. I think it's about RM2 per macaron.

Love the interior and furnitures in Whisk. Brick tiles and wooden furnitures gives a very cosy and warm feeling to it, almost feels like it's teleporting you to Europe. haha.

Finally, I got my chance to try out the awesome cakes at Whisk with a few of my high school buddies early this month. After dinner with the food from Pasar Ramadan, we decided to head to Empire Shopping Gallery to have an early celebration for Jay Dee (who is currently operating Talk-A-Teeth Muffins).

Chocolate cake
Filled with rich chocolate that melts in your mouth, it gets pretty filling after a while.

Red Velvet
One of the best seller at Whisk. The Red Velvet cake always gets sold out quickly. Got to try the cake after they replenished it and DAMN, it's awesome! The chocolate and vanilla taste combines perfectly with the icing which is yummy as well. I bought back a slice for the parents and I couldn't help to but steal a small piece from them :P

Hazri, Jay Dee & Me

Whisk offers different varieties of cake which I have yet to try. I should plan for more dessert session at Whisk soon :P

Whisk is a very good place to chill and catch up with your friends. It makes you feel comfortable as though you're at home. Whisk is also very welcoming and friendly to their customers.

Spot the cute note =)

Ordered wine and the staff asked me to show my id because apparently I look like a 15 year old. pfft. so paiseh.

The dessert is a sin! Chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, walnuts and cherry.

[Review] Resident Evil: Afterlife

Posted by Unknown Friday, September 10, 2010 0 comments

*warning - may contain spoilers*

We last saw Alice in Resident Evil: Extinction and now she's back with more kick ass moves!

The last movie ended with Alice finding her clones and in Afterlife she used them to get her revenge at Umbrella Corp. It also shows Alice finding 'refudge' and looking for survivors in a place called Arcadia. Or is that so?

Not much of a storyline in RE Afterlife. It's just the typical revenge, kill zombies, fighting and looking for survivors. But the cinematography and effects were awesome.

Run, run, run!

I loved the first few minutes of the show the most where they filmed the scene in Tokyo filming this Jap girl getting drench in the rain and suddenly attacking a man. That was the start of the T-virus outbreak.

Check out the some new zombies introduced in the movie!
Plagas Majini

I swear this zombie is scary! They can swim, dig through the underground and appear out of the blue attacking you.

Executioner Majini

He sliced Kim Yung into half! Why do Asians tend do first in movies? lol.
Anyway, I love the executioner's huge axe!

Ali Larter plays Claire Redfield

Clearly this is more of an action based movie with guns etc. There is also lots of slo-mo scenes which tend to get abit boring at times. I understand the producer wants the audience to be in awe in these scenes, but some parts can be speed up.

There's also Matrix influenced effects during the final battle scene!

Luther! Awesome and funny scene.

Some thoughts of mine about the movie:
1. If Alice turned human, how was she able to survive the plane crash?
2. How or where did the survivors managed to get their food supply from?
3. Not much of an interesting dialogue and developing plot. It seems like some parts are mashed up together for the sake of it.

Eye candy Wenworth Miller as Chris Redfield. His acting is okay, but I'm not convinced when he says he shouldn't be in that prison and asked Alice to free him with a maniac and slightly creepy expression on his face? =\
Nope.

Rating: 6.5/10

I watched this in 2D not 3D, but it's pretty good. Some recommend to watch it in 3D but you can see exactly what's going to come out in 3D by just watching it is 2D :)

At some parts of the movie, I was almost at the edge of my seat because it was scary or shocking. xD

My movie date of the night, Sharmayne :D
Too bad Lizzie had to leave early =\
