Serai Empire, Empire Shopping Gallery

Posted by Unknown Saturday, July 17, 2010 0 comments
It's ladies night again! Decided to have dinner with the babes, Amelia and Sharmayne at Empire Shopping Gallery yesterday. Susanna couldn't make it as she was down with fever. Get well soon dear :)

Parking was a biatch. Spent over 20 minutes going to every level but no luck. So we decided to park outside.
Settled down at Serai for dinner.
During my visits to ESG, I always find this place packed with people. The concept is similar to Delicious. Cosy ambiance with white furniture and pretty flowers as décor.

Amelia and Sharmayne.

Yours truly who's suffering from the pain of growing wisdom tooth. Sigh.

The staffs there are friendly and the customer service is good. The lady owner there is beautiful and elegant. She really takes care of her customer and even though it's during peak dinner hours, she still attends to your requests.

Ordered our food and surprisingly it didn't take too long to come even though there's lots of people dining there.

Serai Ice Tea, RM8.50
It's my first time trying a drink made of serai. Surprising it's refreshing and the taste blends well.

Sharmayne's broccoli soup (Soup of the day)
The creamy texture makes it really yummy and it does not taste nor smell heavily of broccoli. So for those who don't really favour vegetable soup, it doesn't hurt to try this! Sharmayne said it tasted more like potatoes.

Amelia ordered her pasta. Forgotten the name of the dish though.
More to Aglio Olio style. The herbs and sauce gave the pasta a light texture but it tasted real good!

Nasi Lemak, RM16
One of their specialities dish, they sure didn't disappoint! Accompanied with 3 pieces of average sized prawns, I wish they gave more sambal sauce :D

Pavlova, RM18.90
The cakes displayed at the counter was so attractive and Sharmayne couldn't resist but to order one. It isn't too sweet and the taste it just right. The cream and egg white, on nom nom!

Customer Service: 8/10
Ambiance: 7/10
Food: 8/10
Price: 7/10

Serai Empire is located at:
LG37, Empire Shopping Gallery
Jalan SS16/1, Subang Jaya.

Clinique Star Tour 2010

Posted by Unknown Monday, July 12, 2010 0 comments

2 weeks ago, I attended the Clinique Star Tour 2010 at Sunway Pyramid for the makeover session.
Reached Pyramid about 10.30am and saw the mobile makeover truck there!

Headed off to Papa Rich for breakfast with Su and Sharmayne while waiting for the rest to arrive. Gosh, puffy eyes and sleepy face. Definitely not a morning person :P

Finally, everyone reached about 11am and we headed to the makeover area to sign up and took the waiting numbers. We get to choose from 2 choices for the makeup we want.
1. Fresh and Natural
2. Young and Chic

I took the 2nd choice!

Gorgeous lady, Alvina.

Since we had to wait anyway, decided to head to Kim Gary to yam cha and accompany Amelia for lunch.

Almost one and a half hours have passed an we were still waiting. Look at our bored faces xD

Finally it's our turn! First, we get a consultation session on our skin, followed by cleansing and moisturising.

Susanna and Sharmayne getting their makeup done.

My turn :)

Me and the markup artist, Chor Q. Very pretty and friendly lady. I don't look like myself in this pic =.=

Camwhore after the makeup is done.

Next is styling the hair. Can't do much to mine as it's short, so they just straighten it.

After that, it's the photoshoot session. Had to do different poses for the shoot, which I felt really awkward as I'm not used to it. The photo turned out nice. It's like another side of me with different personality. lol...

Went to the other counter to redeem the Clinique products worth RM80. Overall, it is a really good experience and with just RM30, you can get all these benefits! The makeup artists are really good as they choose the best colour and makeup to suit your skin. Thank you myc! for the voucher!

We went to Pepper Lunch for lunch after the makeovers session. Susanna recommended it, and it was my first time eating there/

Took the beef set and they taught us how to cook the dish as there's butter in the middle or something like that. On nom nom :D

Susanna's sexy makan style :P

Clinique Star Tour 2010 will be held until 2nd August. Don't miss out on this great opportunity! For more details check out my previous post. You stand a change to be on CLEO magazine too!

Urbanscapes 2010

Posted by Unknown Monday, July 5, 2010 0 comments

The annual all day creative arts festival is back again! Held at Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC), 26th June marks another significant day for all arts, music & fashion lovers out there.

Sharmayne, Cayman and I begin our day by leaving Subang at 10am and drove off to Sentul. But guess what, we got lost midway =\ Thank you Susanna for the rescue by my countless calls of direction. mwahs!

We reached KLPAC safely about 11.30am. It was still early and we managed to find parking inside :D Susanna wasn't there yet so we decided to walk around first. Bought the I love Subang badge at the Klue booth and also stopped by The Click Shop booth. They have so many cute lomo cameras there! Some even resemble a juice box :P

Sandwiches from Wondermilk! Bought the Tuna Melt. yum yum :)

As usual, the food and drinks sold during Urbanscapes are priced sky high. Coke = RM4
No choice but to buy them since the weather was crazy hot.
From left - Cayman, Susanna & Sharmayne.

Decor around the Tongue in Chic booth.

Love the vibrant colours ;D

Girls being girls, the first thing we went to was the Marketplace :P

Tons of stalls all over!

Bought a badge from LOZL - they have lots of cute handmade stuffs there :D

Spinning during the day

Decoration from Quirky Brown Cow. They were giving away free sweets too!

The other side of the Marketplace was pretty damp as it rained the previous day. A few cars got stuck in the mud. It was pretty hard to walk at that side as some places were wet and filled with mud. In the end, all of our shoes also got really dirty.

Project Angkat Rumah! Bravo to those who took part in this project.

Went to watch some music performance after shopping.

An Honest Mistake

Jillian at work!

Halfway, I got separated with the girls and bumped into Jay Dee, Jullian and Zahir.
Posing at the TIC booth xD

Love this!

Performers at the Project Angkat Rumah area. There were others performing short sketches and sing along sessions too.

Decided to head back to the KLPAC building again

Cayman :)

Meet up with Farah and off we go to the music lawn again.

Bet u guys know who this is already!

Yuna :)

Cayman, Sharmayne, Me, Shwu Mei, Susanna & Chloe

Stayed until the night and we were all dead tired by that time. Hung around the Sunset Disco area. Played with the lights.

Meet Pam & Mich there too!

Waited at Pentas 1 for the Rebel Scum etc to start but they weren't there after 20 minutes. So off we go for dinner as we were starving!

Awesome BKT and porridge!

Discovered weird tan lines when I got back. Even though I slapped on tons of sunblock, still :(
I will remember to bring an umbrella next year!

Overall, I prefer last years Urbanscapes as the line up of music was much better. But no doubt, I had fun with my friends :D
