     I love mixing up styles.  Whether it be urban with vintage or hipster with classic--mixing styles gives your old wardrobe a fresh look.

     This particular hat exudes vintage but I edged it up with some denim, boots, and a graphic tee.  Hope you guys enjoy the look.

     Charlie Dog Boxer Company donates 5% of sales to needy animals?  Well that's all you have to say and I'm in.  I love to support up and coming fashion, especially fashion+good cause.

     Whether you're taking the dog out during the early morning or a girl wearing broken-in boyfriend boxers, Charlie Dog pima cotton boxers simply can't be beat.  CDBC doesn't take itself too seriously so I decided to have a little fun and go with a quirky shoot.

     One of the keys to great style is having a diversified portfolio.  It's easy to stay within your comfort zone, but this can pigeon-hole you into a specific style.  You don't have to to buy an entire wardrobe for specific styles such as urban, street, American classic, or hipster, but core items in your wardrobe can be remixed into different styles.

     For example, the Gant plaid shirt below was used previously in a casual American classic style (Casual Weekend).  But in my recent shoot, the Gant shirt was used in an urban style outfit.  Instead of clean lines and heavy materials as above, I paired the shirt with slightly baggy-distressed jeans and boots.


     The emphasis of this urban style was to look a little disheveled.   It has a tough "I don't care" feel to it.


     The small-clean accessories that I typically use were replaced with heavy pieces such as the bulky belt and heavy leather boots.

     My looks generally revolve around the classics, but it is nice to change it up and experiment with other styles.  In my previous posts, the theme was vintage and Southern, so I wanted to completely change it up and go with a modern street style.

     I recently got a great carpenter bag thanks to Wood & Faulk.  I stumbled over this little leather company from Portland, Oregon a while back and have loved their stuff ever since.  Matt's leather goods should cost 10 times what he charges, but "sshhh," don't tell him.

     This whole wardrobe was inspired by a rugged urban theme.



     The leather jacket went well with the dipped leather bag.  I toned downed the urban look with a hipster style sparrow print polo.








     The color block scarf added visual interest and broke up the browns.
