Organic Cyber Horse Cheongsam Collection by Hideaki Lim

2013 went by in a flash! Just as we finished celebrating the dawn on a New Year 2014, in just a few weeks time, it will be the Chinese Lunar New Year! Thanks to Hilda, I got the opportunity to attend the media preview of Hideaki's Organic Cyber Horse Cheongsam Collection that was held in Hotel Royal, Kuala Lumpur.

To Hideaki Lim, futuristic fashion designer, this Lunar New Year of the Horse is a special year as he was born in the Chinese year of the Horse as well! Putting together his Cheongsam designs for this festive season, Hideaki incorporates three factors and came up with three separate design focus.

The first set of his collection takes into consideration of his keen support of saving the environment efforts. This set uses organic fabric specially imported from India and the colours are made from fruits and vegetables. Four celebrity models, Winnie K, Tiffany Hew, Carol Lee and Chelsea Chil added the excitement to Hideaki's design works as they modeled his designs on stage.

This collection is also unique, whereby the outfits is reversible to a different colour to achieve a different look or to go with the mix and match concept.

Staying true to his futuristic concept, Hideaki's second collection is the cyber Cheongsam, where he brings a subtle taste of the future to today! The outfits is made of lycra which is stretchable and added with a touch of floral motive to the outfits.

Lastly, to welcome the year of the Horse, Hideaki presents the horse element in the third collection of Cheongsam. Made with silk, the blue and silver Cheongsam is decorated with hand drawn horse and calligraphy by Hideaki.

Additionally, to welcome the Chinese Lunar New Year, Hotel Royal takes the opportunity of having "Lou Sang" with all media representatives and sponsors to wish health, wealth and happiness to everyone present in the year of the Horse.

Paradigm In Style Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Week

Paradigm Mall hosted its first ever Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Week which kicked off on the 26th of April. Thanks to Evelyn for the invitation to the Gala Night. The 8-day event featured fashion presentations by the wide variety of fashion and lifestyle brands which are available at Paradigm Mall.

The gala night is graced by top WCT Land VVIPs, guest of note also included Malaysian celebrities Bernie Chan, Belinda Chee, Pamela & Vanessa Chong, Chelsia Ng, Aaron Khaled, Alvin Wong, Hansen Lee and Jeremy Teo.

The event started off with a fashion theme dance that was highly energetic and entertaining.

Hitz.fm DJs, Jin and Natalie as the emcees of the event.

The fashion show begun with a runway show lead by Amber Chia along with models from her academy.

The first segment of the fashion show gala night featured Spring/Summer 2013 collections of Springfield, ELLE, MOG, Kitschen, Skechers, Tooba, Walk In, Adidas and Bossini.

Local songstress, Dayang Nurfaizah performed in between the fashion show and mesmerized the crowd with her soulful voice.

The second segment revealed more Spring/Summer 2013 collection from various brands - Red's Revenge, US Polo, Payless Shoes, Elements, Padini, Squareroom, Brat Pack, Nichii, Sun Paradise and Voir.

Wonderfully coiffed hair styles and creative make-up for the show were sponsored by Celeb Trendz Hair Studio and Sephora.

Le Ann Maxima Spring Summer 2013 Fashion Showcase

This year, Le Ann Maxima Spring Summer 2013 theme is called 'Secret Garden', where their clothes calibrates an electric vision of glamour towards a graceful sensuality. This season's collection is highlighted by prints in the variety of pastel colours like sea foam green, lemon. liliac and salmon.

Go retro with fun 60's mon dress that fuses trendy classics with the contemporaries.

Pattern prints of abstract floral, psychedelic collage as well as geometric does not accentuate but are sensual enough to be almost drawn onto the body.

Collage effect that offers an alternative graphic punch to conventional ones. Love the maxi dress! Wish I was that tall to be able to carry one :D

Monochrome tones of ink black, ivory & cool grey.

Lovely dress with a subtle sexy edge to it with those lace at the side!

Colour blocking gives a modern and fresh touch to the outfit!

I was very excited to see the latest items for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection and they definitely did not disappoint ;D

Bright colours and florals are the main highlight for this season. With their trendy, classy and chic concept, they have also included monochrome, stripes and metallic designs in this collection too!

Gorgeous floral dress paired with the green clutch and yellow heels. The colour blocked wedges is unique, which is something I would pair it with black skinnies ;D The stripes bag is outstanding too!

Bold and bright colours!

The aqua trousers with silver prints are to die for! And those gorgeous metallic heels :D

Bags galore :D

Don't you adore this season's bags? The one that caught my eye most screamed bohemian :D The rest are more towards the classic design but I love the details and colours used to make the bag stand out!
