I shot this look awhile back, but never got around to posting it. We had about two weeks of heavy rain, so the trench came out for that period. When it’s cold and rainy, it’s sometimes difficult to dress for the cold and not soak up all that rain with a heavy coat.
The solution to this is the trench. You can throw it over whatever you’re wearing and not worry about matching it or it getting heavy in the rain. It’s an easy go to staple for the winter and transition from winter in to spring when it warms up, but still occasionally rains.

After visiting Chew Jetty, Stephy suggested to try out Thai Food at Tan Jetty. Tan Jetty is just nearby, about a 5 minutes walk from Chew Jetty. Just walk into Tan Jetty and the restaurant is located towards the end.

Supposedly Stephy said that this was a popular place for Thai food, but when we went the wasn't many people. Guess it was due to the owner's attitude that put off people :/ The staff were nice, just the owner? Or maybe he was having a bad day...The table next to us were even complaining and asking the staff why the owner was acting that way. It seems that we have a knack of running into places with bad service during our time in Penang.

A wise man once said, "It's not a man purse, it's a satchel." Murse, satchel, or carry-all, these are some of the words used when we poke fun at a man carrying a bag. Whether you’re Joey Tribianni from “Friends” or Zach Galifianakis’ character from “The Hangover”, we have all been shocked and possibly awed by that guy who carries a bag. Bro Code 34: A bro will never let a fellow bro wear a man purse.
I ask, “Why not?” Why aren’t guys allowed to carry a bag? It wasn't too long ago that fitted or skinny pants were taboo. Is the messenger bag the only bag we are allowed to use? The common theme between Joey and Zach is that both needed a place to store manly essentials. But there was one flaw, it was how they wore it. The key is to use a bag like a man, not wear a bag like a women. For the sake of testosterone, don’t ever throw it over your shoulder or sling it over the bend of your arm. Like most, I started with a backpack, backpack progressed to messenger, and messenger progressed to a variety of weekenders and totes. However, most stop at the messenger. It's the safe alternative to the backpack. What about the briefcase you ask? Well, this can be at times harder to pull off than any other bag. It has such a formal undertone, that it can be hard to pull off if you're not pulling down six figures and dawning a power suit everyday.
With any new item, it takes a concerted effort to step outside the comfort zone. Every man needs a weekender, a tote, and a messenger. You can always add more later, but these are the staples that will get you by for the trips and business luncheons. The most important thing to remember is that when people stare, it’s because they bare witness to a man who can actually rock a bag. Wear it with confidence and pride knowing that you stand apart.

Take it to the coffee shop. Take it to school.

::The Weekender:: Makes traveling easy, simple, and masculine. Leave that roller at home.
Held at the Cape Town City Hall this year, the annual Cape Town Tattoo Convention was held in January - and what an interesting event! The City Hall created the perfect atmosphere for the event and the space was used for different rooms with different activities going on in each. It was 3 days filled with art and music - What talent! From a Burlesque show to tattoo booths and food stalls - DPC loved it all and we're looking forward to CPT Tattoo Convention 2014!
On Monday 28th January, the Rush Green Junior School Choir travelled to the O2 to take part in the Young Voices Concert 2013. It was a great day filled with singing and dancing. The children were fantastic as always. Hope those of you that came along enjoyed the concert as much as we did!

First, I'd like to give thanks to EST Apparel for the great bag. I've recently tried to get into more racing after watching one of the greatest unknown movies, Drive. If you haven't seen it, then go rent it now. It's a nod to 70's and 80's action drama with a Miami Vice/Scarface twist. It will definitely go down as a cult movie.
I was introduced to KingsTribe Clothing at EST Apparel. Saw the bag and knew it would be perfect for drive days. It's rugged, can take a beating, and will look better with dirt and grime.
Gloves, driving loafers, and a helmet. Throw it all in the bag and you're set for a day of racing.
Bring a change of shoes, one for walking around and one for driving. The gloves are actually the ones from Drive. It's from a LA based designer.
Ted Baker is one of my favorite brands for unique design. At these all day events, it's all about comfort. But you don't have to sacrifice style for comfort.
I carried the loafer theme from the previous shoot. Loafers are one of the most versatile shoes. You can dress them up or down.
