Bloop Nail It! Toe Strip Review

If you have seen my previous blog post on Bloop's Nail Polish & Nail Strips, I am now here to blog about the Toe Strips! Yes, Bloop offers these lovely nail trips for your toe nails too! Bloop nail strips are fast and easy to use, forms a sheer layer of protection to prevent nails from breaking, does not contatin alcohol or chemical, no drying time and looks realistic on nails.

Instructions at the back for your reference!

Inside the package comes with the nail strips and also a nail file. Notice that there are 2 sets of nail strips in it? One set it for bigger nails and the other is for smaller nails...cause each person's nails is different like that :) For me, I choose the bigger ones as my toe nail are wider and the smaller one does not cover it fully. I gave the smaller ones to my mom as her nails are smaller but she hasn't used it yet. So if you're not sure what to do with the extra, you can keep it for use another time or share it with your mom or sister so that you'd have some matching nails ;)

I'd thought that this would be 'easy-peasy' after I had my turn on the nail strips previously but boy, I was wrong. I think I spent around an hour measuring and cutting the nail strip to the size and shape accordingly. Not as neat as I hope it would be, with a couple of bumps but it was still ok. My favourite area the pink ones because the colour is really soft and pretty. Added a layer of top coat to ensure the nail strip lasts longer. Usually, it lasts about 5-7 days.

Bloop Nail Polish & Nail Strip Review

Thanks to HiShop and Bloop for the opportunity to review their products!

The Bloop nail polish I received was in H215, a neon red with slight hint of salmon pink. The unique features of this nail polish is that it is quick drying, ultra glossy and long lasting. It is perfect for women who are always on the go as it dries really quickly!

This neon colour nail polish is really bright and loud! Perfect for festive season. I think it would be great for Christmas if a snowflake nail art is drawn. Too bad my skills are terrible :P

Personally, I love this nail polish as it is quick to dry. It takes less than 5 minutes for the surface to dry, in fact... it was about 2-3 minutes. I hardly go for manicure because nail polish tends to take a longer time to dry and it ALWAYS chip off within 1 hour after my manicure when I am doing housework or other stuff,...so no point. My friends recommend gel nail polish that is longer lasting but it is really drying to the nails which I don't like.

This Bloop nail polish really changed my mind with it's quick drying effect. I love that I am able to continue with my work or accidentally bump into something without the nail polish chipping off. The ultra glossy finish gives a really nice effect.

The nail polish is pigmented and easy to apply :) However, I felt that this neon red was too bright for my liking. It is a very bold colour and I usually prefer pastel or softer colours for the finger nails. To me, it would make a great nail polish for the toe nails which I will definitely wear for Chinese New Year in 2014 ;D

Moving on to the nail strips, Nail It! is a fast & easy to use nail art sticker that has no chemical & alcohol content. It also required no drying time!

Inside the packaging, there is the nail strip and also a nail file! Very convenient as the whole set is there for you to use. Besides that, there are also instructions at the back of the package.

I cut out the nail strip individually so that it is easier to measure the size and adjust it accordingly if it's too big. Notice that there are 6 nail strip on each side? Additional ones are for there just in case you mess up with one of the nail art which is great because we do get clumsy sometimes :D

How to apply the nail strip?

1. Make sure nails are clean beforehand.
2. Choose the best strip size for each nail.
3. Remove the transparent protective layer.
4. Align and place the nail strip onto the nail. The rounded ends should be facing the cuticle.
(Note: If the width of the nail strip is too big, cut the edge of the nail strip accordingly for it to better fit onto your nails)
5. Rub strip over the nail starting from the centre, and working it out towards the sides.
6. Press the excess nail strip across the edge of the nail.
7. File off the excess strip in a downward motion using the nail file.
8. Rub striped nails again to move away any excess bubbles.
9. Apply a layer of top coat nail polish for a longer lasting wear.

The nail strip is really easy to apply and I could take it out easily to readjust. It also does not remove the nail polish along when adjusting the sticker as it is not the super sticky type :D However, being a first timer, I had a hard time cutting the shape of the nail strip accordingly. Perhaps with practice I will be able to do better!

Earlier this year, I went to the staff sale at Renaissance Hotel and managed to grab 3 M.A.C Lipsticks for only RM60! :D

Fashion Nomad: A creamy matte lipstick with an intense bright red orange colour. Its creamy texture allows easy application and does not dry out the lips like most matte lipstick tends to do.

Innocence: A soft coral shade with peach undertones. It has a frosted finish which is absolutely gorgeous if you love the shimmer. Best to apply a layer of lip balm as it is quite drying.

Pleasureseeker: A sheer coral lipstick with glaze formula. It has a subtle pink/nude undertones as well. Good for an everyday look since this lipstick is pretty sheer.

Timeless Truth Instantaneous Brightening Cooling Mask Review 極透瞬白冰沁面膜

I recently joined Plus Size Kitten's Guinness Mask Review and Timeless Truth Malaysia was involved with this project! I have been seeing good feedbacks from beauty bloggers regarding TT masks and I am glad that Timeless Truth Malaysia has selected me as one of the bloggers to review their mask (⌒▽⌒)☆

After checking out the full range of mask on their website, I was quite interested in purchasing their other mask like collagen, royal jelly etc! Oh well, I shall drop by MaskSlim to stock on some TT Mask soon :) Back to the review!

There are directions in English if you don't know how to read Mandarin :) The steps are:

1. Cleanse face.

2. Open sachet and take out the mask.

3. Adjust mask over the face and position it well :)

4. Press the mask lightly with your hands so that it adheres completely.

5. Remove mask after 15-20 minutes and massage the remaining essence into the skin.

The direction also mentioned about stretching the mask to ears but it doesn't have the gap to hold the ears for a face lifting effect. So I just use it as it is, since it doesn't reach my ears anyway. My face is huge! hahaha...

Neatly folded mask with plastic sheet. The mask is soaked with loads of essence and after separating the plastic sheet and the mask, I use the plastic sheet to apply some essence on my elbow and knees since it is under the moisturizing range. Don't waste :P

Problem areas of my skin are usually the T-Zone. Pimples are also popping out since the weather has been erratic lately. Super hot weather has caused my skin to breakout (。┰ω┰。) Before opening the mask sachet, I popped it into the fridge for about 30 minutes. My skin loves the cold feeling of the mask when applied on (*^▽^*) Even better, this cooling mask has a minty scent and sensation! I feel refreshed when breathing in the minty scent plus my skin enjoyed the cooling sensation!

My skin feels so well moisturized and hydrated after putting on the mask! After removing the mask, I squeeze the remaining essence from the sachet and massage it on my skin :D

Before and after of my skin. My skin is not that bright in the 'after picture'...it is just the angle. But what I am showing you is the pimple scar that I have gotten from popping the whitehead. It was lightened slightly and I was happy about it :) Same goes to the headless pimple on my chin...after an hour doing the mask, the size reduced and I am not exaggerating. Of course, consistent use of the Timeless Truth Mask is needed for better effect!

Shiseido Ma Cherie Moisture Shampoo Review

I've been seeing lots of good reviews regarding the Ma Cherie shampoo range by Shiseido, so I decided to purchase a bottle along with some other necessity with the RM50 voucher from the Great Guardian Makeover. Thanks Guardian （●´∀｀）ノ♡

The shampoo is priced at RM45.90. There are two types of Ma Cherie shampoo. One is Air Feel and the other is Moisture. I bought the moisture shampoo since my hair is dry and coarse The previous shampoo I used was very drying for my hair. I'm glad that I bought the Ma Cherie shampoo as it worked really well!

I've been using this shampoo for a week now and absolutely loving it! Enjoyed the light peachy scent while I was shampooing my hair. Very relaxing :) It lathers up really easily too! The shampoo doesn't strip of the moisture of my hair and my hair feels softer now compared to before. Would definitely repurchase this shampoo and also try their other products next time (≡^∇^≡)

MAC Archie's Girls Ronnie Red Lipstick

Stumbled across the latest collection of MAC cosmetics while I was in the mall earlier this month. The huge display counter in the center of the mall piqued my curiosity, so me and my friend went to check it out. I'm glad I did, because I was quite an Archie's comic fan during high school :) And a part of me was immediately sold to the concept already xD

What caught my eye from the Archie's Girls collection was the Veronica matte lipstick in Ronnie Red (RM75). Tested it at the MAC counter and I fell in love with it! My friend in Aussie said most of the Archie's Girls collection were sold out over there. Plus it's a limited edition, so I went back to the mall and bought the lipstick a couple of days later :)

Ronnie Red is a mixture of cherry/hot pink and red which makes it a very vibrant and unique colour. I love the fact that it is outstanding and attention grabbing! The colour lasts very long too and it does stain your lips.

Before this, I don't consider myself a lipstick fan as I tend to stick to lipbalm and gloss. Red lipstick in particular, have never been on my list because it screams bright and loud. But this year, I've been wanting to get my hands on a red lipstick for reasons unknown. Is it due to age, that I'm ready to move on to the next phase of life? xD I've been looking for a red lipstick for some time. Nothing held my interest while I was on my search and I'm glad that I found this amazing lipstick in a shade that I love!

However, this matte lipstick made my lips dry after a while. So I'll have to constantly apply Vasaline every couple of hours so that my lips don't get chapped. That is the only thing that I didn't like, but I'll overlook this matter :) If you have pink undertones like me, it is best to apply foundation or bb cream on your face because the Ronnie Red lipstick tends to make the redness on your face more visible.

Review: Etude House Happy Teatime Peach Tea Cleansing Foam

Few months ago, I went to the Etude House Concept Store launch in Sunway Pyramid to buy some beauty products as they were having sale! Now, it's time to review one of the items I've bought! :)

I was attracted to this Happy Teatime Cleansing Foam when I saw it on the counter. Should I say they have a few range of flavours for this cleansing form? haha... They have Green Tea, Milk Tea, Lemon Tea, Peach Tea and Aloe Tea. All of them sounds good enough to ~~eat~~ use it on your face :P

I consulted the Etude House worker on which cleansing foam is the best for combination skin and they recommended the Peach Tea cleansing foam. I've used it for a few months now and loving it!

The cleansing foam lather up really well, so just squeezing out a pea size will cover up your whole face. The peach tea scent was also really refreshing and welcoming, literally makes you 'happy' when you're washing your face xD

I love the fact that this cleansing foam cleanse my face thoroughly, leaving it squeaky clean. Some people might find it too harsh or drying, but it works well for my combination skin. After using it for a week, I noticed that the pores on my T-zone got smaller :)

This cleansing foam also contains Peach Tea extract for brightening. But for me, the brightening part didn't work. No difference seen.

150ml for this cleansing foam can last you for quite some time. The original price is RM13.90 and I bought it at a 30% discount. Overall, I really love this cleansing foam and look forward to try out more Etude House products :D

Origins GinZing Eye Cream

With all the late nights pulling through assignments, investing in an eye cream is definitely needed! After hearing my friend rave about the Origins GinZing Eye Cream and also checking out online reviews, I finally gotten it as my first ever eye cream! Its purpose is to brighten the eye area and also make it less puffy!

When I used it for the first time, I really love it as it makes the puffy areas under my eyes go away. Even though I get less than 8 hours of sleep, my eyes felt more awake after patting it around the eye area...which must be due to the caffeine content. The texture is light and easily absorbed. Plus, it has some kind of highlight/tint to make the eyes look brighter and provide a sheer coverage over the dark circles.

But after using it for a long run, twice a day for about 1 month, oil seeds start to appear around my eye area. Oh well, this eye cream is too rich for me. I started cutting down the usage to once a day and then once in 2 days but it didn't help much so I decided to stop using it after a while. I only use it when I need to get rid of the puffiness or when my eyes is still feeling sleepy x) It also didn't help much with my eyebags since I'm practically born with eye bags (it's true...)

Overall, this eye cream lived up its expectation for it's depuff and refreshing purpose. Other than that, I didn't notice much change on my dark circles. I guess it only works when you apply it due to the brightening tint. Bought it for about RM140 if I am not mistaken.

1. Rub the wax strip between your hands to warm to wax.

Verdict: Veet Suprem Essence Wax Strips successfully removes hairs till its roots which will leaves you hair free for two to four weeks! Although it removes hair as short as 2mm as claimed, shorter hairs less than 2mm are hardly removed. The waxing process is quite painful but it is effective as I saw not only the surface of the hair but the roots as well. The Perfect Finish Wipe is important the remove the excess wax and your legs. The wipe came across as too oily for me at first, but after application I find that it's important to remove the remaining wax and also the essential oil absorbs into the skin and leaves the skin silky and soft. It's not oily at all! There will be redness after waxing but after applying the Perfect Finish Wipes, it's gone within an hour.

Veet Suprem Essence Hair Removal Cream, RM17.90

Veet Suprem Essence Hair Removal Cream is quick and easy to use. Squeeze the cream onto the curved surface of the spatula.

Apply the cream and spread evenly onto the skin. Leave it on for a minimum of 3 mintues and maxinum 6 mintues.

Remove the hair by lightly scrapping of the cream using the other surface of the spatula. Wash off the remaining cream and pat skin dry.

Verdict: What I like about Veet Suprem' Essence Hair Removal Cream that it is painless and effective in such a short period of time. 3 minutes is all it takes! It's like cooking instant noodle :P Within the 3 to 6 mintues, I can get my makeup done and also dressed up. Just remove and wash off the cream and I'm good to head out! Unlike the wax strips, the cream is more effective in removing short hairs on the surface which are not caught by the wax strips.
